Bellaremine Show House
Designer showcases often take flights of fancy with soaring spaces. But what can you do with a utilitarian space that virtually every home has, a bathroom?
Design students Mark Conway, Megan Lasher and Meredith Stice show off their ideas at the 2009 Designers’ Show House at the Fleur de Lis on Main, 324 E Main St, Louisville, KY 40202, from Sept. 12-27.
“Our student team really pitched in and did their jobs, and I am proud of them and the end result,” said Terri George, Chairperson of the Interior Design program at the Sullivan College of Technology and Design (SCTD). “Please go see the room, and let the students know what a great job they did.”
Terri also wanted to thank faculty members Nancy Menz and Wayne Whitson, who helped the students manage the effort.
“I wanted everyone to know that this was the easiest, most trouble-free show house I have done, and it is all due to the help that I received,” she said. “Nancy worked with the students to help select the colors and finishes for the space, and Wayne worked closely with the students in securing accessory selections from Drexel Heritage and coordinating other details.”
