Sullivan University Class of 2005

Kentucky. After graduating from Pulaski County
High School in 1994, I decided to attend a local community
college, but I did not even make it to midterm before I dropped
out.
After a couple months of feeling like a complete loser, I
decided to re-enroll the next semester. Again, I dropped out by
midterm. One year later, I had enrolled for the third time,
still with no goals or direction. I managed to hang on for about
one and a half years and then decided I would never attend
college again.
Sullivan changed his life.
Over the
next few years I worked several jobs and even had my own
business, but I felt limited and extremely frustrated. My
business eventually fell through, and I was at a crossroads:
keep doing what I was doing, or make a change. I decided to make
a change.
I made a commitment to get my bachelor's degree, but I
did not want to attend a college where the classrooms had two or
three hundred students; I wanted some personal attention. I
wanted an education, not just a piece of paper. This is when I
decided to look into Sullivan University and it is the best
decision I ever made.
I decided
to pick a program that I would enjoy, and enrolled into
Sullivan’s Human Resource Leadership bachelor’s program. I
graduated with a 4.0 grade point average and earned the
President's Cup Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. My
dreams came true
In high
school I made it through without ever reading a book cover to
cover. After years of frustration, I decided to do something
about it: I went after my dreams and I'm living them now.
I am the
Director of Physician's Recruiting at Lake Cumberland Regional
Hospital. There could not have been a better job designed for
me. I am also a motivational speaker which gives me an
opportunity to give back. I love to see others live a life of
passion and fulfill their dreams too.
So what
enabled me to make such a major transition in my life? First of
all, I was sick and tired of living a mediocre life. I wanted
to live a life of contribution. In order to achieve success, I
had to change my thinking. I knew that I would have to work
hard, but Sullivan helped me to believe that I could be
successful. My desire is for you to change your thinking and
believe that you will succeed too!

I want to give a special thanks to Sullivan University
for providing me with the tools and resources to achieve
my dreams. A special thanks to some of the best teachers
I have ever known!
To all the
administration and staff: thank you so much for making me feel
special and helping me achieve my dreams. To President Sullivan
and the Sullivan Board of Directors: thank you for your
leadership, for enabling me to live a life of contribution and
to live my dreams.
