LTI is now Sullivan College of Technology & Design

As of today (6/29/09) the Louisville Technical Institute is now the Sullivan College of Technology and Design. This marks a monumental moment for SUS as we celebrate nearly 50 years of LTI and all its accomplishments and look forward to expanded growth with this new name. We are confident that this momentum will lead to an increased presence regionally, leading to a significant increase in enrollment.

Other exciting changes at SCTD is the addition of the new HVAC-R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning – Refrigeration) program which will begin our foray into “Green Technology” programs. We believe that there is a lot of opportunity in “Going Green” and our goal is to be a regional leader in providing training for this “green-collared” energy management and auditing career field. Also, one of the goals at SCT&D is to expand our current programs and offer more Bachelor’s Degrees. Just last week, we received approval to offer a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design.

As you can tell, there is a lot to be excited about at the Sullivan College of Technology and Design. I know you all will join me in wishing them the best on this “new” venture.
