Dreams do come true at Sullivan U!
Sullivan was her best choice
I had seen advertisements about Sullivan University on television and thought it looked to be a tremendous school. One day after work I came to the conclusion that if I didn’t like my circumstances only I could change it. I began contemplating going back to school and began some homework regarding different schools
in our area. I called a nearby college to
inquire about their programs but what I received was rudeness and unwillingness to help me with anything. I wanted
a school that truly cared about their
students and had a curriculum that fit
my needs. This is exactly what I have received at Sullivan.
I began Sullivan in September, 2005 as a full time student. Although I was working full time and was very active at my church, I still managed to stay
on the Dean’s List numerous times. I do take my education very seriously and I continue to strive to meet the goals I have set for myself. I reached my first goal by earning my Associate degree in Administrative Office Management at the end of 2008 and graduated Magna Cum Laude. I was also the first recipient of the “Barbara Dean Scholarship” that was given in 2008.
Her dream came true
When I started Sullivan, I had a dream of starting my own business. Keeping this in mind, I would gear the projects that I was assigned in all of my classes toward starting my own business. My dream became a reality in January. I am the owner of Human Resource Support and Solutions, LLC, a consulting/outsourcing business designed for small businesses. Human resource administration, benefits, orientation, interviews, as well as payroll are some of the areas that I specialize
in. I‘ve been a professional in Human Resources for more than 11 years and
a member in the Society for Human
Resource Management (SHRM). And,
I’m still a Sullivan student, currently
working on my Bachelor’s in Human
Resource Leadership.
Believe me when I say, if I can do it, you can do it too! Do not let anyone tell you any differently or shatter your dreams. Keep the faith, run the race, and finish the course. Don’t get discouraged and hang in there because it will be worth it in the end! Your dreams can come true just as mine have.
