June Sullivan University Global e-Learning took a major step to make
taking online courses through the University even better! A
contract with Angel Learning, Inc., a learning management system based
in Indianapolis, was signed.
Since 1999 Sullivan University has been offering online
and web-assisted courses. The platform by which these courses were
offered at that time was cutting edge. However, technology moved
faster than the platform could. Sullivan University felt it
was time for a change.
After an extensive search was conducted, Angel Learning
was selected as the new platform. The Angel Learning platform will
give the students and instructors features and functions that will make
the learning experience more user-friendly, interactive, and secure. For
example, within each course there is a built-in e-mail function,
discussion boards, and the new testing features. Students will see
a major change in the easy-of-use, stability and functionally of the new
system. Because of what this platform can provide, it opens doors
to new learning technology that is available, for example virtual labs.
Sullivan will go live on June 25, 2007 with this new platform.
As we move forward with Angel Learning we are in good
company. A few of the other schools that use the platform are:
Jefferson County Public Schools, Penn State, Michigan State, University
of Kansas Medical Center, and Indiana University School of Medicine.
Sullivan University currently offers several programs
totally online giving our students and graduates the opportunity to
continue their education with the university no matter where they live!
