Carole Myers

Carole Myers has been with Sullivan University since 2003, when she began her career in Academics. In 2004, Ms. Myers accepted an Administrative Assistant position for the Graduate School, and has grown with the division ever since. In 2006, when she completed her MBA, the position evolved into the Graduate Studies Coordinator, and in 2009, she began her work in the International sector of the Graduate School. She offers a wealth of experience and knowledge working with International students as she has helped build the International Programs division from the ground up. In addition to her experience with the Graduate School, Ms. Myers is valuable in her position because she is able to empathize with the emotional transition students’ deal with upon their arrival in Kentucky due to her experience working and living abroad. She is excited and passionate about the growth of the International Program at Sullivan University, as she feels we are contributing to the overall well-being of education worldwide. Her career history includes more than 25 years of experience in the role of leadership in administrative, medical, real estate, restaurant, retail management; School Transportation and Training, marketing, sales, and advertising.

Ms. Myers earned a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Management in 2004 focusing on Management and Accounting, and an MBA from Sullivan University in 2006. She is currently a member of NACADA (National Academic Advising Association), NAFSA (National Association for Foreign Students Advisers – now known as Association of International Educators), and the President of the International Business Honor Society, Sigma Beta Delta. She was very successful as the President of the Sullivan University chapter of Phi Beta Lambda from 2004 to 2006 when she led the team to 8th place in the National Championship, and 1st place in Kentucky for Academic Competitiveness.

Ms. Myers was named Sullivan University’s first International Compliance Specialist and is responsible for ensuring compliance with SEVIS, the Department of Homeland Security, and other federal, state, and local agencies. She will manage as the department’s DSO (Designated School Official) and Director for all international candidates for Associate, Bachelor’s, Graduate, and Doctoral programs making certain all requirements are met prior to entering the core program and following through to graduation.
