With more and more restaurants opening worldwide and each offering more diversified menus, the need for highly qualified food specialists is growing dramatically. Statistics show there are currently four to five job openings for every qualified candidate in this field. The American Culinary Federation’s Accrediting Commission (ACFAC) accredited Associate of Science degree program in Culinary Arts at Sullivan University’s National Center for Hospitality Studies provides a solid foundation in food preparation, purchasing, inventory control, sanitation, and creative methods of cooking. Successful graduates are prepared to combine these essential basics with a personal creative flair. During their final quarter of study, senior culinary students serve a practicum in an approved site of a fine dining restaurant.
