Get the Money You Need for College

Some students may believe they are not financially able to attend a college or university; however, almost everyone can afford Sullivan University Global e-Learning. Even if you think you’re not financially able, the Sullivan University Global e-Learning Financial Planning Office will offer advice and find ways to help you obtain the financial assistance necessary to complete your education. If you want to obtain financial aid information, please contact an admissions officer as early as possible to coordinate an appointment with Financial Planning. SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are financial aid that, in most cases, don't have to be paid back.

Sullivan University offers several scholarships including:

  • Accounting program scholarships
  • Baccalaureate assistance for graduates with an associate’s degree
  • Hospitality program scholarships
  • Paralegal scholarships
  • Various other scholarships for students at specific campuses

 
Information on additional scholarships is available from your admissions counselor, or at you can find more scholarships. You can also find information on several other ways to pay for college you may not have considered.

GRANTS

Grants are a form of financial aid that, like scholarships, generally do not have to be repaid. Students at Sullivan University may be eligible for several grants, including:

College Access Program Grants — Kentucky residents with proven need may qualify for the CAP Grant. Amounts are determined by the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority Grant Program. Student must be Pell eligible and be enrolled in 8 credit hours or more.

Federal Pell Grants — Eligibility and need are determined by the Pell Grants Division of the U.S. Department of Education. The Federal Pell Grant provides federal funds to all eligible students from lower income families.

Federal Supplemental Opportunity Educational Grants — Student with exceptional financial need maybe eligible for the SEOG Grant. Must be enrolled at least a part-time.

Kentucky Tuition Grant — Kentucky residents with proven need may qualify for the KTG Grant. Amounts are determined by the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority Grant Program. Student must be full-time undergraduates enrolled in an associates or baccalaureate degree program.

LOW INTEREST LOANS

Student loans are available to help you pay tuition at any Sullivan University campus. These loans are available from the federal government and other sources for students who qualify. They include:

Federal Direct Parent and Student Loans — Under the Direct Loan program, the federal government makes available low-interest loans directly to students and parents through the school.

Federal Subsidized Loans — For students who qualify, the first academic year maximum loan amount is $3500, increasing to $4500 for the sophomore year, and $5500 for the junior and senior years.

Federal Perkins Loans — For students who demonstrate need. Students can receive the Federal Perkins Loan for one academic year with the maximum award amount of $4000.

Federal PLUS and Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loans — These loans are for students who don’t qualify for adequate amounts of other financial aid.

OTHER SOURCES OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Sullivan University wants to help every student succeed. In addition to scholarships, grants and student loans, your campus can provide details on many other types of assistance, including:

  • Company tuition reimbursement — which may be available through your employer
  • Rehabilitation programs — for students with substantial handicaps to employment
  • UPS Earn & Learn — a joint venture between Sullivan University and UPS for students who work up to 20 hours per week
  • Veterans benefits — for those who qualify
  • The Workforce Investment Board — which provides grants to qualified students who are displaced or are unemployed
