Sullivan University is licensed to offer bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees by the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education in accordance with the provisions of KRS 164.945-164.99

Sullivan University at all three campuses are in the Microsoft IT Academy Program. Taking the Microsoft Network Engineer Program through an ITA not only provides you with more hands-on training over an extended period of time, it also allows you to receive college credit for completing the program.

Sullivan University is regulated by the Indiana Commission on Proprietary Education.

The Culinary Arts and the Baking and Pastry Arts programs at Sullivan University’s National Center for Hospitality Studies are accredited by the American Culinary Federation’s Accrediting Commission.

The Paralegal Studies Program of The Institute for Legal Studies at Sullivan University’s Louisville and Lexington Campuses is approved by the American Bar Association.

Sullivan University is authorized for operation as a postsecondary educational institution by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. This authorization must be renewed each year and is based on an evaluation by minimum standards concerning quality of education, ethical business practices, health and safety and fiscal responsibility. The Sullivan University Medical Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment (AAMAE).

Sullivan University has received specialized accreditation for its business programs through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), located in Lenexa, Kansas. The business programs in the following degrees are accredited by the IACBE:
