Fort Knox Graduate - Kimberly Burns

Today is the day. I arrived at Southeast Christian Church anxiously awaiting to walk across the stage. As I waited I began to reflect on what it took for me to get here. It wasn’t easy all the time, after all I have three children, I am married and I work a full-time job. I am most proud of myself for not giving up, so many do. I began to get a little emotional as I stood in line and saw my family and friends come from near and far to celebrate me. It was my day. This feeling is like no other and worth every late night and weekend study session. People have things taken from them all the time from their jobs to their homes, however, a college degree is the one thing that can never be taken from you. To all that are still in pursuit of their dreams, hang in there. Your day will be here before you know it!

God Bless,
Kimberly Burns
