e-Learning Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be a computer expert?
One of the most frequently asked question pertaining to e-Learning is the computer skills needed to be successful. Let’s address this question now. You do not have to be a computer expert to take e-Learning courses. The computer is only the means by which the material is presented. If you can cut/paste or send/receive e-mails, you have the needed skills. There is no programming required! In those rare cases where you run into any technical difficulty we have a twenty-four hour, seven-day a week, three-hundred and sixty-five day a year help desk that is a telephone call or e-mail away!

What are e-Learning classes like?
Please don’t confuse e-Learning with a correspondence course. A correspondence course is where the student reads assigned chapters and then responds via e-mail to questions asked by the instructor. Our e-Learning courses are interactive, with discussion boards, class projects, and audio and visual aids. Try one now! Don’t assume e-Learning courses are easier than courses taught on campus. This just is not the case.

Is your college accredited?
Yes, we have regional accreditation.  In addition, our programs have received approval from the various agencies that oversee the quality of the programs being offered. Check out our accreditation here!

Why is accreditation important?
What accrediting boards do is to make sure we teach at levels that meet specific requirements. In other words it makes sure we are doing what we say we are doing.

How long have you been around?
Longevity does provide a sense of security and stability and our 44 year history proves it. Sullivan University is the largest private university in Kentucky. We have six campuses with our main campus located in Louisville, Kentucky.

Longevity is great, but we understand that isn’t enough! We continuously look to the future to remain current and relevant to our students. This is one reason we rely heavily on our Advisory Boards for directions. These boards are made up of professionals from every aspect of the business industry. They bring their expertise to us to help us to keep our college up-to-date with what is happening in the industry.
