Dr. Jay Marr
INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Marr originally came to Sullivan University in 1996 as an Associate Director for Student Affairs and he was later named Director of Student Affairs then Dean of Students. In 2005, Dr. Marr became the Vice President for Student Services / Dean of Students at Sullivan University and in October, 2009, he was named Vice President for Academic Affairs / Chief Academic Officer.
Dr. Marr is often sought as a speaker and he has instructed and presented at numerous local, regional and national conferences and colloquiums sponsored by Noel-Levitz®, the Georgia Private School Association (GPSA), the Tennessee Association of Independent Colleges and Schools (TAICS), the College Personnel Association of Kentucky (CPAK), the Kentucky School Counselors Association (KSCA) and the Kentucky State Board of Proprietary Education. Dr. Marr is a graduate of the Career College Association (CCA) Leadership Institute and he serves as a peer reviewer of member institutions for the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
Dr. Marr completed his Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology and his Masters in Executive Development for Public Service from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and he earned his Doctor of Education degree in Leadership Education with a cognate in Business Communication from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky.
