Train as a gourmet chef on staff at Winston's Restaurant
Becoming a professional chef demands practical experience, putting to work what you’ve learned in the classroom. That’s why senior culinary students at the National Center for Hospitality Studies serve a practicum at Winston’s Restaurant, a 3-1/2 star gourmet restaurant at the Sullivan University campus. (Or, by special permission, students may work at an alternative fine dining establishment.)
You'll learn to prepare and serve gourmet dishes for an extensive menu of brunch, lunch and dinner under the leadership of Executive Chef John Castro. Winston's is considered one of the foremost culinary training restaurants in the country, has received many awards for service, wine selection and cuisine and is a member of the Kentucky Restaurant Association, Louisville Originals and the Chaine des Rotisseurs.
Featured by the Food Network, Travel Channel, Food and Dining Magazine, Wine Enthusiast magazine and many other local and national media, Winston’s is located on-campus at 3101 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40205.
