With Best Regards,
HTT/skw Greetings! We have two new wonderful events that I would like to share with all of you who have believed in us—our friends, colleagues, parents, and future students. I would like to report to you that the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) has authorized an on-site visit for our College as a follow-up to our Pre-Candidate application that was submitted May 1, 2007, and which was followed with a meeting with the ACPE Board of Directors on June 25, 2007. The ACPE visit has been scheduled for October 23-25, 2007. We are very excited about this news and we appreciate that the ACPE Board of Directors has granted us this authorization. I will keep you informed of the outcome of the visit as we move along the process. Another wonderful event has happened. On July 25, 2007, on the land that was just purchased adjacent to the Sullivan University main campus for the future College of Pharmacy (2100 Gardiner Lane, Louisville, KY), Sullivan University System Chancellor A. R. Sullivan and Sullivan University System President Glenn Sullivan were joined by our friends and colleagues (including the Governor of Kentucky, Ernie Fletcher and the Mayor of Metro Louisville, Jerry Abramson) to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for the future College of Pharmacy. Also joining us for this celebration were six of our 15 hired College of Pharmacy faculty, who were able to take time out of their busy schedules to be here for this most important event. Please see the “News and Events” section of our web page for the newspaper coverage of this celebration. As always, thank you very much for following up with us in this exciting journey for our College. Have a great summer! I will be looking forward to hopefully meeting you all in the future! With Best Regards,
HTT/skw Dear applicants, parents, friends, and colleagues, We have submitted to the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) our application for consideration for Pre-Candidate Status on May 1, 2007 as the first step of the accreditation process. (Click here for further information regarding the accreditation process) On Friday, June 22, 2007, Dr. Stephen Coppock, CEO/Executive Vice President of Sullivan University and I were invited to present our application for Pre-Candidate Status to the ACPE Board of Directors in Chicago, Illinois. On Monday, June 25, 2007, we received the news that the ACPE Board of Directors has authorized an on-site visit to our future College of Pharmacy in the fall of 2007 (exact time will be defined at a later date). It is a great news for our College, as we are moving along in the establishment of the College of Pharmacy. We are committed to abide by and fulfill all the standards required by the accrediting agency, because we believe that the standards are set for a sound and successful educational program. As the College of Pharmacy goes through the developmental stages, I will continue to keep you abreast of the news and progress as we move along in this exciting endeavor. In the meantime, should you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. With Best Regards,

The College of Pharmacy Administration, faculty and support personnel will have offices in the current office building which will be totally redesigned to meet the COP needs. This facility will also house smaller conference classrooms and related College facilities. The COP will initially occupy 30,000 sq. ft. of space in the two connected buildings with an additional 48,000 sq. ft. of space available to the COP for any needed growth. The total complex will have over 78,000 sq. ft. of space.
