Advances in Nanotechnology and Applications Volumes I and II

Available for purchase on Amazon.com

Present day nanotechnology is an emerging field. It is highly multi-disciplinary in nature and it employs many different scientific specialties such as physics, chemistry, biology, and materials sciences. As generally acknowledged, the concept of nanotechnology originated in recent days in 1959 after the talk of Richard Feynman, but the actual "nanotechnology" word was coined by Norio Taniguchi in 1974. The impetus to understanding the importance and applications of nanotechnology was received only after the development of scanning tunneling microscope and atomic force microscope and developments in interface and colloid sciences. These books are published by Center for Nanotechnology Education, Research & Applications (CENTERA). They are a collection of research papers and abstracts presented at the First and Second and Annual Nanotechnology Symposium in 2008 and 2009, in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. Sullivan University College of Pharmacy and CENTERA are contributing its efforts in developing nanotechnology in Kentucky and Midwest area.

Volume III will be published soon. For more information, please contact Amber Jeffries at ajustice@sullivan.edu
