Biography
Dr. Childress received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Mercer University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Atlanta, GA. He worked for three years as a pharmacy intern in Nuclear Pharmacy with Cardinal Health, and one year as a Community Pharmacy intern with CVS. Upon graduation, he completed a specialized residency in Drug Information with the Sullivan University College of Pharmacy. Prior to his pharmacy education, he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Kentucky Wesleyan College, where he also worked as a teaching assistant and laboratory assistant for General and Organic Chemistry.
Dr. Childress is currently Co-Director of the InterNational Center for Advanced Pharmacy Services (INCAPS) with Dr. James Nash. INCAPS provides medication therapy management services as well as immunizations, therapeutic drug monitoring and patient education services. Dr. Childress is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical and Administrative Sciences, where he is involved with teaching in Research Design and Literature Evaluation I and II, Medical Informatics, Medical Spanish and other topics of interest.
