Biography
Dr. Huseby received his BS and PhD degrees from the University of Louisville with graduate work in small molecule heterocyclic anti cancer drugs. He was a post doctoral NIH fellow in Molecular Pathology at the University of Louisville School of medicine working in the area of protein structure and function. Dr. Huseby served as a Senior Research Biochemist with Eli Lilly and Company working extensively in the area of protein production and function including the original patents on plasminogen activator now used for acute treatment of stroke He was the Director of Research and Development for the Dade division of American Hospital Supply Corporation specializing in hematology and blood clotting disorders. Dr. Huseby served as Vice President of both Richardson Vicks and SmithKline Beckman corporations. While at SKB he was responsible for worldwide research and development for the Beckman Healthcare Division. He is currently the vice president of research and development for ApoImmune Incorporated, a startup biotechnology company specializing in immune regulation of cancer and infectious diseases through biotherapeutics. He is the author or co-author of 40 publications and books and has served on both FDA panels and national clinical studies groups. He has served as PI or co PI on major Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) NIH grants.
