Biography
Dr. Smith obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy from University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in 2000. Following graduation, Dr.Smith completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency and a Pediatric Pharmacy Specialty Residency at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Since graduation from residency she has been a Clinical Neonatal Specialist and Coordinator of the Pediatric Pharmacy Residency program at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Smith is a speaker for the annual Academy of Neonatal Nursing forum in Washingon, D.C. She is actively involved in teaching at Kosair Children’s Hospital and Preceptor of Pharmacy residents. She received the Allison Ratliff Award for Pediatric Pharmacy Excellence in 2000. She is a member of Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group, American College of Clinical Pharmacists, and American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, and past board member of the Kentucky Pediatric Society. Dr. Smith has participated in medical mission work in Romania as part of the Humana Foundation Medical Mission program.
