Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager
Beautiful stores with a spa-like feel.... complete with small tea rooms for customers and many newer stores have consultation rooms. "East meets West" model with practitioners (homeopathy, nutrition, herbalists, etc) on staff as well. Compounding is a major focus for most of the pharmacies. Managers have the opportunity to play a bigger role than other big chains... more like running your own business without the risks. Novato is a great location with lots of room for growth... lower script count and Trader Joe's next door. Haven't been to the Napa store yet. I like working for a mid-size independent... more stability while having more of a voice in the company. I love the feel of the store atmosphere... I'm very much influenced by environment. I enjoy the collaboration with alternative health providers as well. All that being said, there are challenges just like any other community pharmacy.... insurance issues, whiney customers, etc.... Hope that helped! For more info, check out their website
