Sullivan University is authorized to operate in New Jersey under the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA). 

Professional Board Licensure

New Jersey State Board of Accountancy
The Sullivan University Bachelor of Science in Accounting program does not qualify students to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure exam.  Additional academic credit hours are required.

The Sullivan University Master of Business Administration with Accounting Concentration does not meet the CPA licensure requirements in the state of New Jersey.

Sullivan University Associate of Science in Health Information Management graduates are eligible to sit for the Registered Health Information Technician exam (RHIT). There are no states that currently require licensure or certification.  However, some employers require an employee to have a certification or registration.

The Sullivan University Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) programs (Certificate and Associate of Science) qualify graduates to sit for the licensure exam in the state of New Jersey.

The state of New Jersey does not have licensure requirements for the Interior Design profession.  Successful completion of the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) Exam is required to become a "Registered Interior Designer," but professionals can practice without that credential.

Sullivan University Medical Assistant Diploma graduates are prepared to take the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA(AAMA)) examination for certification.  Graduates in the Associate of Science in Medical Assisting degree program are also prepared to take this exam because the graduate is also receiving the Medical Assistant Diploma.  New Jersey does not have licensure requirements for the Medical Assistant/Medical Assisting profession.  

There are no states currently that require licensure or certification for the Medical Coding profession.  However, some employers require an employee to have certification or registration.  The Sullivan University Medical Coding graduates are eligible to sit for the Certified Coding Association exam (CCA).

New Jersey Board of Nursing
The Sullivan University Practical Nursing Diploma program prepares graduates to apply to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN) to become a Practical Nurse (PN) and meets licensure requirements in New Jersey.

The Sullivan University Associate of Science in Nursing program prepares graduates to apply to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) to become a Registered Nurse (RN) and meets licensure requirements in New Jersey.

New Jersey Board of Pharmacy
The Sullivan University Doctor of Pharmacy program meets educational requirements for licensure in the state of New Jersey.

The Sullivan University Community Pharmacy Certificate and Pharmacy Technician Diploma programs meet licensure requirements in the state of New Jersey.

New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners (Physician Assistant)
Coursework (excluding Clinical Rotations) for the Sullivan University Master of Science Physician Assistant program only takes place in Kentucky locations. The Sullivan University Master of Science Physician Assistant program meets the educational requirements for licensure in New Jersey. Please visit the state board's website for specific licensure requirements. 

The Limited Medical Radiography Diploma program meets educational requirements for licensure in the state of New Jersey (must score at least 75% raw score on the ARRT exam).

The Sullivan University Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology program meets educational requirements for licensure in the state of New Jersey.

The state of New Jersey does not have licensure requirements for the Surgical Technology profession.
