SULLIVAN UNIVERSITY ENHANCES USA CARES RELATIONSHIP BY OFFERING TUITION DISCOUNT
The Sullivan University System and USA Cares, a national non-profit organization that assists post-9/11 service members, veterans and their families during times of crisis, are enhancing their existing partnership through a tuition discount program that Sullivan is offering to USA Cares clients.
“The Sullivan University System is proud to continue our partnership with USA Cares and extend the offer of discounted tuition to clients, employees and their immediate family members of USA Cares,” said David Keene, Vice President of Community Partnerships at Sullivan University. “This is another way for the Sullivan University System to show its support for USA Cares’ mission and the military veterans who have served our country.”
The Sullivan University System includes Sullivan University, The Sullivan College of Technology and Design and Spencerian College.
Addressing the critical and unmet needs of post-9/11 service members and their families, USA Cares provides immediate financial and advocacy support through four programs: Combat Injured, Career Transition, Housing Assistance and Emergency Assistance.
“USA Cares strives to reach families at the earliest stage of intervention to prevent further financial distress and suffering by providing them with immediate financial and advocacy support in times of crisis,” said Trace Chesser, Director of Career Transition for USA Cares.
“The Sullivan University System and Chancellor A.R. Sullivan have a history of very strong connections to and a sincere appreciation for members of the military, military veterans and their families,” said Chesser. This new agreement follows suit and will help military veterans and their families overcome various hurdles they may be facing.
According to Chesser, “Sullivan’s tuition discount will assist in the transition from the military into career and training opportunities, work skills development, education programs, professional development and more so that our clients are in a better position to obtain employment.”

Under an existing partnership, the Sullivan University System assists USA Cares by providing an opportunity for the organization’s clients to participate in the university’s career education programs. USA Cares’ clients and their families are provided assistance in navigating the various education and training programs as well as career opportunities that will make them more marketable to employers and better prepared for the transition to civilian life and the workforce.
The program also benefits veteran-friendly employers by ensuring a well-qualified and educated employee who also has the discipline and work ethic embedded via their military experience.
In addition to the USA Cares tuition discount for veterans and their immediate family members, Sullivan also offers a significant discount to active duty military personnel.
Sullivan currently offers a number of programs, ranging from certificates of training through doctoral programs.
Sullivan University also operates a robust online division that allows students flexibility in achieving their individual educational needs. Through continued education and training from The Sullivan University System, military service members, veterans and their families will create a solid foundation that will prepare them for a second career in the civilian workforce.
