Sean Ashcraft

Sean Ashcraft

Executive Director of Academic Operations & Institutional Effectiveness

Mr. Ashcraft has been in the field of higher education for 13 years, 11 of which have been with Sullivan University.  He has a Master of Science in Conflict Management, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with concentration in Human Resources. He will begin pursuing his doctorate degree in Fall of 2022. 

In addition to his education, Mr. Ashcraft has served in various roles during his career. A few of the positions include: Admissions Representative, Campus Coordinator, Reentry Specialist, Academic Advisor, Registrar, Senior Director of Academic Services, and currently as the Executive Director of Academic Operations and Institutional Effectiveness.

Donya M. Bell

University Registrar

Ms. Bell has been in the field of higher education for 32 years with Sullivan University.  She has a Master of Business Administration, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentration in Management.

In addition to her education, Ms. Bell has served in various roles during her career. A few of the positions include: Microfilm Specialist, Clerk, Supervisor of Records, Associate Registrar, and currently Associate Director of Academic Services and Adjunct Instructor.

Associate Registrar

Mrs. Spurgeon began her career at Sullivan University as Administrative Assistant to the Senior Director of Academic Services in 2019. In her four years with Sullivan, she acquired many skills in the various positions held in the Academic Services and Bursar office. These skills, plus her dedication, 10 years of customer service, and positive interdepartmental relationships complement her Associate Registrar role. Mrs. Spurgeon’s continued dedication to Sullivan is fueled by the supportive family atmosphere she gets to work in every day. She is pursuing her Associate of Science in Business Management with a goal to complete her Bachelor of Science degree in the next few years.

Associate Registrar

Ms. Smith joined Sullivan University in January 2023 and is the newest addition to the Office of the Registrar. She has a Master of Arts in Ministry and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Liberal Arts from Indiana Wesleyan University. Ms. Smith has an extensive background ranging from teaching, student services in the Fort Wayne Community School District, and Regional Site Office Manager at a local university in Louisville, KY. She also has Academic Advising experience. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters, watching and attending volleyball events, attending Broadway shows, reading, and listening to music.

Ralene Slusher

Student Records Coordinator

Ms. Slusher started at Sullivan University as the Administrative Assistant for Academic Services (now Student Success Center) and has recently transitioned to the Student Records Coordinator position. She has over five years of customer service experience and has been with Sullivan for almost a year. Ralene was inspired to join the Sullivan family to assist students in their pursuit of knowledge because of Chef Rhea, her grandfather.

Student Status Coordinator 

Mrs. Fox began her journey with Sullivan University in 2019 as the Attendance and Retention Specialist and recently transitioned into the Student Status Coordinator role. She graduated from Spalding University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology and has over 10 years of customer service experience in her background. 

Shane Schumaker Academic Services Coordinator

Shane Schumacher

Academic Progress Coordinator, Louisville 

Mrs. Schumacher has been with Sullivan University for over twenty years. She is a graduate of the University of Louisville and a Kentucky Colonel. When she isn’t working, she serves as a volunteer in her local community as an officer for her homemaker club, and as a member of several historical preservation groups.
