IT Orientation
1. Introduction and Contact Information
Welcome to the Sullivan University IT orientation page. Please review all the materials on this page carefully and in the order presented. Start with the login information section and work down the page. If assistance or clarification is needed, please see the contact resources below:

2. Login Information
To access all Sullivan University online resources, you will be assigned the following usernames by the institution:
Student ID:
Your student ID will be the first letter of your first name; up to the first five letters of your last name; and 4 school assigned numbers (for example: astude1234).
Accounts that currently use your student ID as the username:
- Student Portal
- SUS Apps website (apps.sullivan.edu)
- On-Campus Wifi
Student Email Address:
Your student email address is your student ID followed by @my.sullivan.edu (for example: astude1234@my.sullivan.edu)
Accounts that currently use your student email address as the username:
- Office 365
- Blackboard
- Library Databases
- Panopto
- Skillsoft
Password
Your initial password will be your full Social Security number with no dashes or spaces. You will be prompted to reset this as soon as you access your email for the first time. For this reason, you must sign into your student email account (Office 365) first.
3. Office 365/Student Portal
Your Office 365 account provides you access to Microsoft’s Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as Microsoft Outlook for student email access. You will also gain the ability to use OneDrive for storing files and classwork.

4. Student Portal
The student portal allows you to see grades, transcripts, advisor information and more.
Username: Student ID
5. Blackboard
Blackboard is the learning platform used for all classes at Sullivan University. Please note – you will not be able to access Blackboard until the first day of class. Any login attempts prior are likely to fail.
Username: Student Email Address
For Blackboard assistance that is not login/password related, please refer to: Blackboard 24/7 support
6. SUS Apps Site
To access software that may be required for your courses, you can visit the Sullivan Applications website.
Username: Student ID
