SULLIVAN UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES TUITION DISCOUNT AGREEMENT WITH KY ASSOCIATION OF MANUFACTURERS (KAM)

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Sullivan University, one of the state’s leading providers of career-focused education, has announced a tuition discount agreement with the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers (KAM).

The agreement provides a 15 percent tuition discount for full-time employees and immediate family members of KAM members. The tuition discount is available for any of the more than 80 programs of study offered through Sullivan’s nine colleges of academic concentration with the exception of the Doctorate level and Physician Assistant Program.

“Sullivan’s significant discount and it’s encompassing scope coupled with campuses conveniently located in Louisville and Lexington, an extension facility on the Fort Knox Army Post and extensive online learning capabilities as well as key areas of study in manufacturing and manufacturing-related fields pair extremely well with the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers’ mission to support our members through advocacy, education, member-exclusive benefits and networking,” said KAM Executive Director Lee Lingo.

“We are looking forward to rolling this benefit out to our members,” Lingo said. “This benefit can be coupled with other KAM member benefits to create a very compelling system and suite of benefits for our members to offer their employees. In a tight labor market such as this, every benefit matters.”

Founded in 1911, KAM serves as the leading advocate for Kentucky’s manufacturing industry, an economic engine representing more than $40 billion in annual Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and more than 250,000 employees.

“This agreement will expand, enhance and improve the educational opportunities available to employees of KAM and full-time employees of the association’s members,” said David Keene, Sullivan University’s vice president-community partnerships. “In addition, it will help Sullivan University’s dedication and commitment to educating and training workers so that they and their employers can compete and thrive in a 21st century global economy.”

The growth and continuous improvement of Kentucky’s existing manufacturing workforce are critical to the continued success of our manufacturing sector, Lingo said.

“Our partnership with Sullivan brings another opportunity to KAM member companies to help them develop and enhance their workforce while simultaneously giving their employees’ families a parallel opportunity to pursue personal growth through higher education,” he said. “That’s a benefit that has a force multiplier effect.”
