Pediatrics, Geriatrics and Long-Term Care

Cathy has been a nurse for 48 years. She spent 8 years and a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and went on to get her Registered Nurse License and Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has worked in the Intensive Care Nursery for 25 years as staff and then management. Along the way she has also worked in Mother/Baby and in Pediatric Intensive Care. Cathy has also spent time working in pediatric long-term care at the Home of the Innocence and then switched to geriatrics and long-term care for the last 12 years.  

Cathy has been with Spencerian/Sullivan since 2005 working with the students in the Practical Nursing Program and doing clinical work for the Associate of Science Nursing program. Teaching has enriched her life and she hope that she has improved the lives of the students she has had the privilege to encounter. Cathy has a passion for nursing and teaching.
