Dr  Anthony Pina Associate Provost For Teaching And Learning Academic Affairs

Dr. Anthony Piña is Associate Provost for Teaching and Learning and Distinguished Lecturer at Sullivan University. He has had a notable career as a leader in online/distance learning at public and private higher education institutions. He has taught at the K-12, community college and university levels. Dr. Piña has been a consultant to Fortune 500 corporations, small businesses, local government agencies, non-profit organizations, the U.S. Department of Defense and for numerous educational institutions across the country. An active scholar as well as administrator, Dr. Piña has published 6 books and more than 75 academic and scholarly publications on online/distance education, educational technology, and management. He is the recipient of multiple awards in the field of educational technology, including the 2019 Wagner Award for Distance Education Leadership. He is editor of the book series “Leadership and Best Practices in Educational Technology Management” for Brill publishing and is on the editorial board of four scholarly journals, including as Production Editor for the Journal of Conflict Management. Dr. Piña is an accreditation peer reviewer for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and is a member of the Peer Review Advisory Board for SACSCOC President Dr. Belle Wheelan. He is happy married, a father of six wonderful children and has played lead guitar in several bands.
