BIOGRAPHY 

Dr. Cassandra Hobbs earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in 2010. She completed a PY1 Community Pharmacy Residency with Sullivan University College of Pharmacy and Medica Pharmacy and Wellness Center. She has achieved board certification in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy and is a Kentucky state licensed diabetes educator.  

Dr. Hobbs’ clinical practice site is at Family Health Centers where she provides diabetes and warfarin management. She has participated in a CDC grant funded program providing an interdisciplinary approach to hypertension management.  

Her teaching focus lies in self-care therapeutics, advocacy, and therapeutics. Dr. Hobbs serves on the Kentucky Pharmacists Association (KPhA) Board of Directors and on the Board of Directors for Jefferson County Academy of Pharmacy. Service to the University is upheld through committee involvement and as the faculty secretary.  

Dr. Hobbs is interested in practice advancement. She has served an integral role on the Protocol Workgroup of the Advancing Pharmacy Practice in Kentucky Coalition, writing and reviewing protocols to enhance pharmacy practice in the state of Kentucky. She has also chaired a KPhA committee who has written draft regulations for the payment of cognitive pharmacy services.
