Deanna Davis New

Dr. Davis completed her doctoral degree in 2009 from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Her postdoctoral research included multiple projects targeting the molecular mechanisms of cell signaling pathways driving cancer biogenesis in labs associated with the Brown Cancer Center in Louisville, KY. Dr. Davis has actively pursued a career in biomedical research which has included positions at Virginia Commonwealth Univ. in Richmond, VA, as well as her current position with Washington Univ in St. Louis. 

In addition to her passion for research, Dr. Davis enjoys sharing all things Science with her students! She has been an Adjunct Faculty member with Sullivan Univ since 2010, teaching subjects like Medical Terminology, Pathophysiology, and Human Anatomy & Physiology. Dr. Davis has also served as an adjunct faculty member for Purdue Global and Ivy Tech Community College, where she was tasked with teaching classes in Biology, Microbiology and Biochemistry. Dr. Davis says that motivating the next generation of 'thinkers' is one of her favorite aspects of teaching!
