BIOGRAPHY:

Kate Schewe joined the Sullivan University PA Faculty in June of 2022. She graduated summa cum laude from Sullivan University PA Program in 2018 and worked as a tutor during her second year in the program. She was born and raised in St. Joseph, Michigan, and completed her undergraduate studies at Western Michigan University. She became an EMT in 2009 and worked at Spectrum Health Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph, MI as an ER Tech for 8 years before moving to Louisville to pursue her PA Education.

Following PA school, Kate earned her certification from NCCPA and is licensed to practice in Kentucky and Indiana. She then practiced Emergency Medicine at Baptist Health La Grange for nearly 3 years before transitioning to Baptist Health Occupational Medicine where she continues to practice. She is also a member of AAPA, KAPA, SEMPA, and PAEA.

Kate resides in East Louisville with her husband and their three wonderful children—a boy and boy/girl twins. For fun, she enjoys tending to her many houseplants, cooking, traveling, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her family.
