BIOGRAPHY

Kelly has over 20 years of Health Information Management experience and over 15 years in the field of Education. She has an extensive background in business and management throughout the healthcare field and has experience in healthcare consulting, office management, medical coding director, and started her career as a medical biller. 

In 2016, Kelly started a coding chapter where there was no representation for students or coders. She has been an officer since then ranging from Chapter President to Vice President, she has led the chapter starting with 5 members and now has over 750 members. 

She is a certified trainer and instructor through AHIMA and AAPC respectively and enjoys assisting students in accomplishing their educational and career goals.
