LaDale Ramsey, MSPAS, PA-C

LaDale is a practicing physician assistant in Louisville, KY and has been part of the Sullivan University Physician Assistant Program since 2017 when she initially guest lectured in the field of neurosurgery. She later joined the team full-time in May 2019 as an assistant professor and part of the clinical faculty. In addition to her clinical duties, she teaches extensively in the program’s didactic year covering the majority of the neurology/neurosurgery content, as well as participating in various labs and PBL-based learning for the first-year students. LaDale has also been involved with PA recruitment and has been elected to the Admissions Committee as well as the Student Professional Development Committee by her peers.
Originally from Lewisport, KY, LaDale attended Lindsey Wilson College where she graduated with a master’s degree in Biology with a dual-minor in chemistry and psychology with Magna Cum Laude honors in 2004. While at Lindsey Wilson, LaDale played softball and was involved in various campus activities, including the Student Government Association and serving as sports editor of the campus newspaper. She was presented the Certificate of Leadership Appreciation and was also awarded the Collegiate All-American Scholar Award.
LaDale then attended graduate school at the University of Kentucky, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2008. She was elected a member into the Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
After graduation, LaDale earned certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She worked in the field of neurosurgery for 9+ years and has worked in the field of emergency medicine for 3+ years. She currently works shifts in various emergency departments at Norton and Baptist hospitals across Louisville, KY. LaDale is an active member of the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Physician Assistant Education Association. Her favorite aspect of PA education is being able to share her clinical experiences in a way that resonates with the physician assistant students while helping them become the very best healthcare providers that they can be.
