Biography
Charles M. Benton received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Brescia University. He worked in the aluminum industry for 33 years as a Senior Staff Process Engineer, travelling all over the world working in aluminum carbon plants. After his retirement, Mr. Benton went back to school and was the “senior” graduate of 1450 students with a Master of Arts in Education degree in Math from Western Kentucky University.
After his wife passed away Mr. Benton moved to Lexington and started teaching math at Sullivan University in 2016. He loves mathematics and recognizes that anyone can do math with enough effort. Math is a necessary tool in one’s life’s toolbox. He has worked out regularly at his local fitness center for the past 25 years.
