BIOGRAPHY

After graduating from college, Bob embar4ked on the formative years of his youth. As a Peace Corps volunteer in the rain forest of Guatemala, he worked side by side with subsistence level farmers. While there, Bob was struck by the profound impact health can have on the most vulnerable. Upon returning home, he enrolled in medical school in San Francisco. He returned east for residency in Emergency Medicine in Baltimore. After working ten years in the largest county hospital in the DC area, Bob and family moved to Louisville. University of Louisville, Mary Elizabeth Hospital Emergency Department is a busy community hospital serving multiple working class neighborhoods. The area has a vibrant refugee population and a large Cuban diaspora.

After starting as a guest lecturer with the Sullivan PA program in 2014, he is now their interim medical director.
