Tammy Kaufman is an Associate Professor for the College of Hospitality Studies (CoHS) with over 20 years supervising and management experience. Tammy was born and raised in Louisville, KY holding her first position in hospitality at age 16 in a fast food restaurant and went on to hold a variety of supervising positions with other employers. While working as Nightclub Manager for Second Street Entertainment, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accountancy and a minor in International Business from University of Louisville. After graduating U of L, she worked for Zappos.com as Outlet Store Manager responsible for Operations, Marketing, and Event Planning.

In 2011, she obtained her Master in Business Administration with a Concentration in Hospitality Management. Over the next year, she continued studying and also completed a Concentration in Accountancy. She has been employed by Sullivan University since 2010. She is a Certified Guest Service Professional, a Certified Online Instructor, a Certified Hospitality Instructor, has a Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics, and was a Dale Carnegie Certified Trainer. She is also a member of the Louisville Chapter of Les Dames D'Escoffier.
