Yi-Mei Yen joined the nursing faculty in January 2003 and is now an Associate Professor of Nursing. She teaches in PN, ASN, and BSN programs. She completed her undergraduate studies and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Taipei University (1985) in Taipei, Taiwan and Master of Science of Nursing from the University of Missouri (1992) in Columbia, Missouri.

Yi-Mei Yen has always had an interesting in education, serving as nurse educator in the Clark County Health Department in Indiana, the hospital unit in Taipei, and clinical instructor at Meiho University in Taiwan. She is certified by the NLN Academic Nurse Educator Certification (ANEC) as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE). Her fields of interest are community health and nursing education. She had served as chair of nursing research committee and now chair of ASN curriculum committee.
