COVID-19 Guidance for Campus Housing
Move-in will be conducted in scheduled blocks to prevent overcrowding. A sign-up genius link will be included in the housing assignment letter. Students will need to sign-up for a time slot prior to move-in.
Students may bring two people to assist with the move-in process. If additional assistance is needed, discuss with the Housing Operations Coordinator (firstname.lastname@example.org).
If students are moving in from out of state, then we encourage those students to self-quarantine for 14 days prior to arriving at Sullivan University.
If a student begins to experience COVID-related symptoms while in housing, they will need to follow the SU isolation plan. See below.
Double and Triple rooms are available for housing. Single rooms are based upon availability.
Housing assignment letters, Student Lease Agreements and Forms/Waivers will be sent electronically to all prospective students through DocuSign. These documents will need to be signed prior to arrival.

Building Access and Traffic Flow for move-in day
Upon entrance, students and visitors will be asked to enter and exit through the designated doors.
All students, staff and visitors will need to wear a mask in all common areas of the building.
We ask that families follow the directional signs and keep the flow of traffic moving fluidly.
Carts will be provided to students if needed but must be sanitized before and after use.
The elevator will be open and may only have family units share the ride up or down.
The dining hall will be open on the patio and inside dining will be allowed at 50% capacity. Carryout orders will be taken by calling 502.213.8353. Students and their guests will be allowed a free meal at Gardiner Point during move-in day.
All common areas have reopened. Students are required to follow social distancing and COVID prevention guidelines in these areas. Signage is placed in each facility that list the guidelines and expectations.
Staffing and Residential Student Programming
Live-on Professional Staff and Resident Assistants are on-campus and available for student needs.
Hall meetings and student programming will be virtual and in-person. Campus housing will ensure that in-person events are limited in capacity, that masks are worn at all times and that social distancing is being followed.
Visitation is not allowed at this time. No more than 4 residents should be in a student room at a time. Additionally, no gatherings of any size will be allowed. Judicial sanctioning and eviction may occur if this guidance is not followed.
Students should fill the shuttle from back to front and must sit 6ft apart to ensure social distancing guidelines are being followed.
Shuttle driver will sanitize the bus after each run once students have exited the shuttle.
Drivers must wear a mask while transporting students.
Students must wear a mask at all times while riding the shuttle.
Drivers will thoroughly disinfect their shuttle once their shift is complete.
The on-site housing custodial staff has been trained to follow cleaning and disinfection protocols that include cleaning high traffic points multiple times per day and disinfecting the common areas (lobby, fitness facility and laundry room). The custodial staff does not clean occupied student rooms.
COVID-19 Health & Safety Procedures
Masks: All students are required to wear a face mask while outside of their room. Housing will supply one reusable mask to each resident; however, you are more than welcome to provide or wear your own.
Social Distancing: Residents are to maintain social distancing of at least six feet from others and avoid social or communal gatherings.
Dining Hall: The Dining facility will be operating at 50% capacity, outdoor patio seating and via curbside pick-up. Menus are available at the front desk.

Work Orders: For the health and safety of our students and staff, our work order form has been adjusted slightly. For maintenance to assist, the student will need to vacate the room during the maintenance repair. Failure to leave the room during this time may delay the process to the maintenance concern. Students will be required to submit another work order for another time slot if maintenance staff cannot enter the room during the time selected.

From here fill in your name and contact info. Select a time you will NOT be in the room and explain the nature of your issue(s).
NOTE: Maintenance leaves at 4PM daily. Any non-emergent issue that occurs after 3:30PM will be attended to the following day. Maintenance will contact the student via the phone number provided if any adjustments need to be made to the scheduled service.
- Someone who has been in close contact (<6 feet for a collective of 15 minutes) with someone with COVID or COVID symptoms, will be required to quarantine for a minimum of 10 days if no symptoms are presented during daily monitoring. Alternatively, the quarantine can end after day 7 if the exposed person receives a negative test and if no symptoms were reported during daily monitoring. The test can be taken within 48 hours before the time of planned quarantine discontinuation (5th day at the earliest). The person must continue health monitoring for a full 14 day period from exposure.
- If someone is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, they should quarantine for at least 10 days after symptoms onset and until fever free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication. If the student has a roommate, then one student will be allowed to move to a temporary single room, free of charge.
- If a student must self-isolate, Housing and Residence Life will provide meals, three times daily and will offer daily wellness checks from the Health Services Coordinator.
