Erin O'Flaherty began her nursing career after completing her Bachelor of Science degree from Western Kentucky University in December 2012. The majority of her career has been in OB/Maternity nursing, at various labor and delivery, recovery, and postpartum facilities across the country. She also held a role with the US Army as an educator with the New Parent Support Program. Throughout her experiences, she found a passion in educating others and in 2020 decided to pursue her MSN- on the Nurse Educator track with Chamberlain College of Nursing. While completing her masters, she continued to work at the bedside as a case manager for a local hospice organization, and then returning to her roots as a RN Preceptor at a women's hospital in labor and delivery.
Currently, she is the RN Clinical Coordinator here at Sullivan University-Lexington Campus, College of Nursing as well as adjunct instructor for NUR210 lab and clinical. Her leisure activities include spending time with her family, reading, and hiking.
